Japan has conducted its first missile test on its own soil. The country conducted the test on Tuesday amid regional tensions. The short-range surface-to-ship missile was launched from Japan’s Shijunai Anti-Air Firing Range. The missile was fired experimentally at a boat about 40 kilometers off the southern coast. Japan has conducted missile tests on the territory of the United States and Australia at various times. This is the first time that this test has been conducted on its own soil. The country’s military said that they plan to launch another test missile on Sunday.
