Wedding Cuvee by Iron Horse would be my first choice. It's tasty, and not too expensive.

Another good choice would be Sophia Blanc de blanc. Francis Ford Coppola's winery created it for his daughter's wedding. It's a bit less expensive than the Iron Horse, but not as good.

If i were you I would try to pick a nice Pinot Noir. This being because i dont know there tastes. Pinot Noir is light has great complexity the more you spend. It does not have to be decanted and does not have to be aged for a great period of time. I would try to find Adelsheim Pinot Noir. The current vintage is fine. This wine consistently lands in the top 10 pinot noir in the world every year. Adelsheim vinyard in Oregon, which is known for their Pinot Noir, produces a rich, complex wine with tones of berry, earth, and spice. The seductive flavors of this Pinot Noir reflect this spectacular growing region. The best part is that it will probably only cost you b/w 45-50$ depending on what state you live in.

If they are really into wine another one i would pick would be Château Clerc Milon Pauillac 2005 from the Bordeaux region of France (some of the best wines in the world). It is a Parker rated 94. Loads of violets, berries and currants with hints of mineral and light vanilla. Full-bodied, with very silky tannins and a long, long finish. This can age for 7-10 yrs and will only get better. Needs to be decanted for at least 45min to an hour. If you cant find this wine any Bordeaux wine, CHateau-neuf-du-pape, or Cote-du-Rhone will be a great gift and will impress a lot of people.

Sutter Home makes the best white and red zinfandel. I love both also can't go wrong with Merlot either.

Get them a nice bottle Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Champagne.
Best bang for the buck.
Champagne is custom made for newlyweds.

Wedding gifts are usually not bulky, large and/or cumbersome gifts at all. Wine, china, etc. (anything BUT that which can fit inside a card) should be saved for an engagement gift. At the wedding it's expected that the guest brings cash or a check inside a card.

This is for 2 reasons: many newly married couples leave for their honeymoons directly after the wedding and don't want to be bothered with opening or carrying gifts out of the reception. Also, weddings are expensive and most couples budget based on the logic that on average, each person gives $50. If you're a couple, you should be giving $100. Yes, times are tough but my god - a cheap bottle of wine? That (in my opinion) is not a proper wedding gift and could be looked upon as rude and cheap. If you are trying to be creative knowing that they truly love wine, perhaps you can give them a gift certificate to a nice wine tasting seminar at a local vineyard (of $100 value)...but I think that would be better suited for a birthday/anniversary gift.

If you're not sure what they like? I would search and see if
I could find a wine gift card or a gift certificate. Maybe a vineyard would offer
a gift card/certificate for a wine tour/tasting.
Something they could do for their 6 months wedding anniversary
to keep the 'home fires' burning! LOL
