How do you store wine after opening?
I want to start drinking a glass of wine a day and my favorite wine is Pinot Noir. So, what is a good way to store it after it’s opened? I know your not supposed to put red wine in the fridge and honestly cold pinot doesn’t sound appealing. I figure if I drink a generous sized glass every day then it would take me three to four days to finish a bottle. Would the wine be bad by the fourth day?

if you keep it on the kitchen counter it should last about 4 days–buy one of those rubber corks and the vaccum thingy (sorry, do not know the exact name of the apparatus) that vaccums the air out of the bottle and you are good to go! Cheers!

what i do is put it in the cooler covered with ice and the next day it taste just as good

Put the lid back on it. And lay the bottle on its in the refrig.

Penguin Gal is closest to correct. She’s referring to Vacu-Vin or a similar product, which allows you to remove air from the bottle through the stopper. This keeps the wine from oxidizing and going bad. You might get four days out of it, but remember to keep it out of the light. Chilling it will keep it from going bad, but ruins the flavor, so what’s the point? By the way, the better quality the wine is, the longer it will keep. If you’re only drinking one glass a day- buy the good stuff! Life is too short to drink bad wine.

Simply re-cork (use the original upside down or a store bought type) the wine will be fine 4 or 5 days unless a friend comes over and then it will be too.;)

if not in the fridge, in a cabinet without light, and preferably cool. Don’t forget to cork the bottle up again, the cork from a good whisky or port bottle is fully reusable and will do great.
