3.0 out of 5 stars Just ok, but not worth $22., February 23, 2017

I will give you the real skinny on this product. Be prepared that right out of the box, you will have knicks and have to use a marker to hide them. The unit itself is indeed pretty small, but that is ok. Is it worth $22, not really more in the $10-$12 price range in my humble opinion. It looks like something you would get at Big Lots.
However with all of that said I felt that it was easy to put together, but follow the directions. Also if you find when putting it together that the holes don't line up, turn one of the pieces over, it is accurate, but you might have to try to swap pieces, etc.
The color is not black, but a dark coffee color.
Also have something to remove sticker goo. The manufacturer in their infinite wisdom used really gummy and crappy sticker that leaves residue.
Off to use Goo Be Gone! Thanks for reading.

3.0 out of 5 stars Overpriced. Very low quality Wine Rack., March 18, 2017

Not completely satisfied with this product. In my opinion it's not worth the amount that I paid for it. Even at discount that it was.
Bag of 8 bolts was ripped and rust was covering all of the bolts. Possibly was somewhere in the water separately from the Wine Rack.
Light scuffs and scratches are found on the surface of the boards. During assembly it was hard to believe that it will end up straight. Internal threads are not aligned properly. Bolts did not go strait but almost all of them were at the different angle. Some edges did not align flush with other boards. The middle cuts where the whole thing is interconnected is not tight and has about a 1/4 inch free-play. See pictures supplied.

Looks great! It took about 15 minutes to assemble for me, and it looks so good in my kitchen. Others have noted a strong odor in their reviews, but it was not noticeable unless you have it up to your nose in my case. It feels sturdy and a good weight. I'm extremely happy with my purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars great rack, easy to trim and paint, November 13, 2014

I had to cut this down to fit in my cabinet. I use a chop saw the the cuts came out super clean. I primered and painted it white, only did a light sanding. The paint is sticking great.
This is well made and I would bet you could stack quite a few on the floor and still have it stable. I only have 2 rows.
9-14-15, Joel, I am happy to post pictures. I trimmed the side supports a bit. The lower set I did not use, I think I will turn them into bookends as they are really nice layered looking wood/bamboo. I did not need the extra height and it seemed odd to have the space at the bottom. The paint is still perfect but it does not get banged around or anything so I would expect it to last forever. This unit is super sturdy. I think even if you stacked it 4 high it would not sway.

I received the wine rack last night and immediately set it up. It is constructed of solid bamboo components that join together via notches in each one. When all 6 pieces are interlocked, the entire rack feels very stable. It's also beautiful! I will definitely be adding more layers as space/demand allows.

One reviewer mentioned the gap for bottles being too wide- I placed the bottles so the crook of the bottle's neck rests on the front bar for stability. That means the bottles are ever so slightly sloped downward toward you. The photo shows this configuration but it's not clear that the bottles sit angled toward the front.

I did get a portlier prosecco bottle to sit in the rack as well.

One more thing- there is room below the rack for additional bottles to lie beneath.

Perfect! I repurposed an armoire into a liquour cabinet, painted this wine rack to match and put it inside. The rack makes the whole cabinet look custom-made! I needed to trim about 1/8" off of each side to make it fit properly, but this was not a problem with the ol' table saw. I am so happy with this rack, it's very solid and pieces fit together snug and perfect. I will buy these again without hesitation.

  • No sales Tax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Free earthquake strap upon request.
  • Create an instant wine cellar anywhere/any room (ask our Design Cener for help!)
As you may know, Oregon is world famous for our wines. That is why our company motto is:"Not only does Oregon have great wines; but we also do a great job making fine RACKS too." This 120 bottle rack has 8 shelves (15 bottles per shelf) and each shelf holds 2 rows. The first row (bottom row) holds 8 bottles and the 2nd row will hold 7 bottles. Structurally the upright/s isn't one solid piece. Each upright is held together with dowels. The 3rd picture demonstrates this. This rack is a Rustic grade. In our manufacturing process, we refer to this Rustic grade as our " A minus" grade. It's only slightly lower than our perfect "A" grade. And the average person doesn't notice any difference. See below for explanation of our "A minus" grade. As a

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite happy with this rack, November 2, 2014

Quite happy with this rack. So much so that we ordered a second one this weekend. My only disappointment was the shipping costs are ridiculously high. I know it's heavy but $32 in shipping just feels excessive. Yes I know they could sell it for $99 with free shipping (and I would still buy it) but when is costs nearly as much to ship as the product itself it just FEELS wrong.

Assembly was super fast and once I shimmed it - the rack is perfect the concrete in my basement not so much - it is solid and extremely sturdy.

I opted to not use the earthquake strap, although my wife wants me to mount the rack to the wall so I will probably use some 'L' brackets and a ferring strip mounted into the concrete.

Excellent product - sturdier than I expected and I am very happy to use it & recommend it.

This review is from: 120 Bottle Rustic Wood Wine Rack; Super EASY to assemble!! (Made in Oregon)
Don't know about QC control & mis-matched pre-drilled holes before late 2017, but my 2 boxes (4 module) were perfect. If you clean out pre-drilled holes in the shelves, no need to buy Simpson or Kreg screws. Use the ones supplied and even a 20 yr.old 12 vdc cordless screwgun will assemble this project with ease. With my drill, 5/32" drill bit, and hand No.2 Philips head screwdriver, I sat at my kitchen table and very much enjoyed assembling these well engineered and very sturdy wine racks. Supplied assembly instructions briefest I've ever encountered. Mine will save you time.
1. From the box standing vertically, pull out 8 "vertical" boards. (2 larger holes in ends) Stand them against wall.
2. Pull out 4 pairs of shelves. Lean vertically against wall. Turn so all wooden bottle spacers face same way. You will assemble 2 modules from these parts after cleaning out the pre-drilled holes in each shelf.
3. Chuck a 5/32" bit into your drill. Hold 4 shelves between your knees. Re-drill 64 smaller holes in shelf ends. TIP: Thoroughly drill out any hole near a knot to keep screw from splitting wood when screwed in there.
4. Turn shelves over and re-drill holes on the other end of the shelves. Repeat 3 & 4 with other 4 shelves.
5. Select best looking side of each vertical board. Insert 2 screws into each end of best side of 8 vertical boards. Hand screw so each screw protrudes about 1/4 " out the other side. Module can be done in 13 min from here. Tip: Make sure each screw actually engages its matching pre-drilled hole below before screwing down.
6. Hold 1 shelf vertically. Place 1 vertical board 90 degree angle so protruding screw tips fit into holes in top of shelf. Holding both at right angle, screw 2 screws down until threads aren't visible.
7. Place 2nd vertical board on the other side of the same shelf so screws fit into holes in top of shelf. Screw down until threads aren't visible. Try to keep them at right angles to one another.
8. Place 2nd shelf under the other ends of the 2 vertical boards. Make sure wooden bottle spacers face same way.
9. Repeat steps 6 & 7. This brings together a top and bottom shelf and 2 vertical (side) boards. Tip over so vertical boards are on the floor and 2 (top & bottom) shelves are sticking upright. Bottom boards rest on 4 screw heads.
10. Place another vertical board so screws fit into holes in shelf end. Screw down 1 screw at each shelf end for now.
11. Place another vertical board on other side of shelf over the holes, and screw down 1 screw at each end for now.
12. Hand screw remaining screws until threads aren't visible. Remember: keep shelf bottle spacers facing same way
13. Place 3rd shelf over pre-drilled holes on the vertical board on the floor, then bring the shelf top under top vertical holes. Insert 1 screw thru top vertical into matching hole in shelf and tighter so threads don't show.
14. Insert 1 screw in top of other vertical so screw locates matching hole in shelf top. Tighten so threads don't show.
15. Insert both remaining screws to secure the top of this shelf to the vertical board. Tighten so threads don't show.
16. Repeat 13 & 14 for the 4th shelf. Now on this side, all the screws are about level. Turn over to finish other side.
17. Align shelf top under matching vertical hole. Insert 1 screw and tighten slightly, then 1 screw on the other vertical, and tighten slightly. Do the same for the last shelf matching holes. Now, with screw gun set so head will NOT be driven below the vertical board's surface, with pressure, screw down all screws so they draw boards tight but do NOT allow the screws to spin. Turn this module over and screw down all the screws in same way.
18. The 2nd module is ready to assemble. Repeat steps 6-17 and the 2nd module should be done in 13 minutes.
If you do this on tile or other seamless surface, sawdust will sweep up with ease. Not so much if on a rug.

5.0 out of 5 stars High Recommendation for a Quality Product, May 10, 2017

This review is from: 120 Bottle Rustic Wood Wine Rack; Super EASY to assemble!! (Made in Oregon)
Though I place great faith in the range of reviews Amazon provides on products, I was a bit skeptical that what appears to be a rather frail wine rack could store 120 bottles. The box arrived and the pieces fit together perfectly with screws holding the shelves to the frame and wood plugs holding the two 4-shelf units together. The rack not only held 120 bottles, but I fit a few more on the edges. I had an email exchange with the president of the company as a conflict arose between UPS delivery date and Amazon delivery date. I was very happy with the prompt response from the president of the company and may purchase a second unit in the near future. You can purchase from this supplier with confidence as the product does what it is intended to do and a very efficient and easy to construct fashion.
