Sonoma County plays host to the ultimate fantasy boot camp for wine and food enthusiasts during the 2013 Sonoma County Grape Camp[1] ([2]), September 23-25, 2013. Hosted every harvest season by the Sonoma County Winegrowers, Grape Camp provides an unparalleled, all-access pass to the definitive viticulture, winemaking and food expedition, providing the kind of hands-on experiences that will appeal to anyone who ever wondered how their favorite wine is created. Campers receive an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with some of Sonomas top vineyard owners, winemakers, and other experts to learn about the evolution of grapes from vine to glass.

Grape Camp takes an intimate group of guests on an extraordinary harvest journey to explore the deep love affair between winegrowers and their vines, and the talented winemakers who craft these distinctive Sonoma County wines. Over the course of three days, participants will not only get their hands dirty working in the vineyards alongside some of Sonoma Countys most respected multigenerational winegrowing families, but they will also enjoy exclusive winery tours, cooking classes, and wine blending seminars hosted by leading winemakers, winery owners, and renowned chefs. Each day is packed with wine tastings and pairings with local foods. After a day in the vineyards, participants will relax in comfort at the luxurious Vintners Inn[3] ([4]), a quintessential wine country escape in Sonoma County. Camp fees are $2,000 per person or $3,700 per couple and includes hotel stay for three nights, all meals, tastings and transportation during camp.
